I'm not a big IOTA collector, but I did manage to work MM0RAI/p on 40M SSB last weekend on October 2nd. They were only qrv for a short while, and the skip wasn't very favourable for me. I woke up during the night, and I checked, I could read them fine and gave them a few calls. I logged them for my IOTA #342.

This weekend I worked T32C easily on 4 slots. I haven't bothered with too much time in the pile-up's since they are staying for a while. I worked T32C on 30M CW on Saturday morning. In the evening, I worked them on 12M CW and 15M SSB. I got them on 40M CW on Sunday morning. I did also try on 30M RTTY, but I didn't manage a qso before they qsy'ed.

I tried earlier this week to work 3D2R, but I could not bust the pile-up. Luckily I do have Rotuma confirmed, but it would have been nice to get them on more bands and modes.

Saturday July 23rd, I had some time to play radio. I knew there were a few IOTA's on in Alaska that had never been activated before, so I was looking for them. K6VVA/KL7 NA-242 was on 30M CW early in the day. He was fluttery and not too strong. I heard an SM station working him so I quickly found his frequency and I got through fairly quickly after that. I started looking for KL7RRC in NA-232. They were on 20M CW, but too weak to be able to work them with my station. Then I noticed K6VVA/KL7 was on 20M CW. The signal was stronger than on 30M and easy to work. To my luck, KL7RRC was on 17M SSB. The signal wasn't too strong, and the pile-up was obviously not very big as I quickly worked them for my second new IOTA in Alaska.

I'm not that much into the IOTA program, but I do work IOTA's from time to time. I have managed to work a few over 300, but since there are over 1000 IOTA's, I have a long way to go. Since we had an IOTA Contest coming up, I noticed plenty of activities. I worked a few new ones before the contest and they were RN1N/P EU-147, OH1K EU-140, IG9/IK2PZC AF-019, KL7RRC/P NA-235 and LZ1BJ/1 EU-181.

In the contest I worked around 30 contacts, and the new IOTA's were CS2K EU-167, 4O1OTA EU-163, W3DX NA-067 and UW2F/P EU-179. That makes my IOTA total come up to 314.

On July 24th, I managed to work 9X0TL for #267 on 30M.

On July 25th, I noticed JW/OZ1IKY was spotted on 6M. An OZ group was operating from JW5E in JQ78. I have never managed to work this square. After listening for a few hours, he came up strong enough for me to work him. That was square #646 worked on 6M.

The last week or so, I've gotten several new bandpoints on LoTW. ER5OK on 6M was a new one confirmed. FM5CD on 160M CW And 20M RTTY gave me a new on 160M and RTTY confirmed. 4U1UN on 30M and 17M CW were two new bandpoints. KV4FZ on 160M was another one on 160M.

I've only worked a few contacts on the air lately. DP1POL was worked October 26th on 30M CW, and confirmed on LoTW a few days ago. P29NI IOTA OC-205 was worked on 30M CW November 5th. XV4D was worked on 30M CW November 5th and 20M CW November 6th. ZC4VJ was worked on 30M November 7th. OH0/DK1MAX was worked on the same day and band, and were confirmed on LoTW today. 5H1HS was worked on 30M RTTY November 7th. YW5A IOTA SA-058 was worked on 30M CW November 8th. C31CT was worked on 30M RTTY November 8th. Later in the evening on the 8th, we had some aurora, but not many stations on 6M. I worked SM2CKR and OH6HFX. I had another caller, but I just couldn't pull the signal out of the noise.

The past weekend I had some time to chase DX. On Saturday K4M was on 40M CW with a nice and strong signal. I got him after a little calling. That was #241 on 40M. A few minutes later I got him on 30M, or so I thought. I was logged as LA8TJA. An hour later, 3D2KJ was on 30M CW. He was very strong, and I got him, but had to repeat my call several times. Another LA wouldn't stop calling on top of me, even though he asked for me several times. A few hours later, K4M had an excellent signal on 30M. I quickly logged him, and this time they got my call correct. That was #252 on 30M. At around 13Z I heard E51NOU quite strong on 40M CW. I quickly worked him for #242 on 40M. I did also try H44MY on CW, but the pile-up was too big. On Monday, I noticed that 4U1UN was spotted on 30M CW. I dialed in and there he was. After a few calls, he came back with my call. Another new one on 30M (#253). This year I have worked them 4 times and all qsoes are confirmed via LoTW. I'm glad they are a bit more active now.

LA6Q was active this weekend from EU-061. I see lots of hits on my page for LA6Q. This activation was real, and QSL is via LA9VDA. I tried to call a few times on 30M, but the europeans were much stronger than me.
