Glad you liked the pictures. I would very much like to climb the tower, but it was way too cold when we were there. I can only imagine how the view would be from up there. Regarding the work they have put into it, you just know by looking at the pictures that it’s a lot. And when you work from the station and get to experience how smooth everything run, you know they have done a professional job and thought about everything.

Oh man this is great to see. Did you volunteer to come back and climb the 160/80m beam/tower? Heh! Thanks for putting these up. I can’t imagine the work that those guys put into this station.

Yeah, we have had enough cold weather this winter and plenty of snow. CR2X would sure be great, who knows, maybe in the future. Luckily, we’re slowly heading towards summer and longer days.

You need a break from the cold weather. You should gun for a trip to CR2X next. I didn’t put a big effort forth in the contest as the XYL had me running all over the place. I managed to do a little over 400 QSOs and didn’t call CQ once. A bad day on the bands beats a good day in the office.

It was a big blast Working from this station was an incredible experience. Contesting will never be the same after this. I checked the log, you were logged on 20M according to what I could find. I didn’t work much 160M this weekend, but I bet the CQ 160M contests would be great from this qth with big antennas and a very quiet qth. Regarding pictures, I’ll try to get around to it this weekend. Time just flies too fast these days.

Sounds like a blast brother. Congrats. I look forward to the pixs. I bagged them I think either on 80 or 40. I think doing a 160m contest from there would be lots of fun.

Yes, that’s for sure. We heard them very late evening on 15M together with several KH6 stations during the ARRL contest. OH7EA gave them a call and they logged him. We were running the contest from OH8X Radio Arcala.

I was amazed how many times I heard them this weekend during ARRL DX CW TEST calling CQ with no one waiting in line. Those guys must of done a bang up job.
