5R8IC worked on 30M

Posted: November 22nd, 2008 under DX, Hamradio, Soundclips.

DX is slow these days. The only thing new is 5R8IC on 30M (#230). I did try 9J2BO on 30M, but couldn’t get through, and shortly after, he went qrt. 7P8BA showed up on 30M last night, but he was mostly too weak, and he was running North-America. C91LW  was on at the same time […]

Posted: November 19th, 2008 under DX, Hamradio, Soundclips.

Finally. St. Barthelemy is in the log. That makes 320 total. I have followed the activity during the week, but never had a chance to work them. The band and time just hasn’t been correct for me. However, on Thursday, I had time before work, and they finally popped up on 40M. They had a […]

Several new ones – V8, 5Z, 9L, YB, C5, VK9DWX

Posted: October 21st, 2008 under DX, Hamradio, Soundclips.

The last week has been pretty productive when it comes to new countries. Wednesday gave me 5Z4/RW1AU on 30M (# 221 30M). V85SS was worked on 40M CW Thursday evening. This was a new country on 40M and CW. The signal was up and down, but mostly 559. It's only the second contact with Brunei, […]
