I logged on to my account today and noticed several new confirmations. Among them were 10 qsoes with A61AJ. I also got LA1IARU which I myself activated for a few hours back in 1999. That makes my LoTW confirmed count 186.
Fresh from the printer. The 2007 DXCC Yearbook is now released. The book has interesting articles about the year’s DXing activities and the Clinton B. DeSoto Cup and DXCC Challenge standings. The publication is free of charge for recent participants in the DXCC program. Others can purchase the Yearbook by contacting the DXCC Branch dxcc@arrl.org
Seems MMTTY has been updated. Still can’t find anything on the official website, and the download is from DXLabs and not the official page. First read this on contesting.no where LA6FJA posted it. Here are the release notes.
Yesterday I was made aware that Icom is coming out with a new rig. It’s called the IC-7600 and was spotted at Tokyo Hamfair 2008. Click read more for the known specs and a few pictures.
I happened to surf by Alex, VE3NEA’s page today, and found that he released a new program. Now if only someone could publish older bulletins as downloadable archives. If you know about any archives, please let me know.

DX Bulletin Reader is a tool for viewing, archiving and searching the DX news bulletins. It is written by VE3NEA and can be found at http://dxatlas.com/BullRead/.
When the program displays a DX bulletin, it highlights all prefixes, callsigns, IOTA references and grid squares in different colors, and best of all, it highlights the items that are on your DXCC and IOTA Needed lists. Every highlighted item has a tooltip with extra information, such as IOTA group name and prefix, country of the callsign, and latitude/longitude of the Grid Square. If the optional databases are installed, even more information is shown on the tooltips, including the full name and address for the US and Canadian callsigns. The Find function performs full text search in all archived bulletins.
